Airdrop Based On Testnet Points

35,000,000 tokens will be split evenly amongst all users based on the quantity of testnet points they received. The 35m will be split amongst users based on the share of points a user has relative to all other users. So you will take your points ÷ 1,842,358,000 points earned by everyone x 35,000,000 $DIMO.

The cutoff day was November 30th, 2022. Points were allocated through November 2022 as follows:

• DIMO Data Miner purchases: All customers who preordered the device (meaning they ordered prior to the store reopening on 11/13) are eligible to receive the maximum 9,000 points per week per DIMO Data Miner from their order date through November 30th, 2022.

  Note that this means you are being credited for more points than the balance you see in the mobile app. Users are being over credited to make up for supply chain delays that impacted pairing timing.

  To reiterate, whether you got your device and installed it right away, got it and waited, or have yet to receive it, you’re getting credit for 9,000 points per week from order date to today. You may use https://orderlookup.dimo.zone to view your points total. To receive the airdrop and continue to earn ongoing $DIMO rewards, your device must be paired to a supported vehicle.

  4,217 devices were credited for an average of 43 weeks, for a total of 1,629,810,000 points. That averages out to about 386,486 points per DIMO Data Miner.

  Plus:

• Software connected vehicles (Tesla or Smartcar connections):

  • Connection method: 4,000 points per week if directly connected via Tesla API; or 1,000 points per week if connected via SmartCar; plus

  • Streak bonus:

    • 1,000 points per week if connected 4-20 weeks;

    • 2,000 points per week if connected 21-36 weeks; or

    • 3,000 points per week if connected 37+ weeks.

  2,631 were connected via software for an average of 24 weeks for a total of 212,548,000 points. That’s about 80,786 points per device though individual totals vary.

*There will be a brief hiatus on rewards during the transition to mainnet: Points earned after December 1, 2022 will not earn users $DIMO tokens until mainnet launch in a few weeks when regular Baseline Issuance begins (see the section on this below).
