The temperature of an electric vehicle's battery has a significant impact on how fast that battery can charge. While having the temperature of the vehicle's battery itself would be the most ideal, having the ambient temperature can give a clue to how cold the battery is. When a battery is cold, it takes longer to add energy to it.
